School Council

At Elliott Park we believe children should have a voice in the day to day life of the school. We have a school council and councillors are elected by the children each term. Council meetings are held each month with the head teacher. Suggestions and matters raised by each class are discussed and decisions made. Minutes are taken and displayed on our school noticeboard and website.

We now have an Eco-squad in our school. Each class has a voted member who attends meetings with our Eco-club teacher and brings ideas and implements them to create an eco friendly school. Current projects are displayed on a notice board in the school corridor.

It is our belief that education is a route to the well-being of the individual. We believe in equal opportunities for all the children in our school, irrespective of social background, culture, race, gender or ability. In order to ensure future progress and success, we aim to provide a curriculum that is broad and balanced. It is our belief that we should provide a learning environment that is motivating, exciting and caring, in order for a child to develop a sense of high self-esteem and academic achievement.
