Year 5 have enjoyed reading and listening to the first chapter of Kensuke's Kingdom and have acted out some hot seating to think about the feelings of the characters in the first chapter.
They can't wait to read the next part of the story!
BIKEABILITY
Year 5 and 6 are enjoying their first session of their bikeability training.
BIKEABILITY
Congratulations to year 5 and 6 children on passing their level 1 and 2 bikeabilty tests.
ELLIOTT PARK SCHOOL BAKE OFF
Hanover Class had a great time making their Easter themed bake off cakes at the end of term celebrations and were even more thrilled when they were crowned Bake off Champions by the one and only Mary Berry ( aka Mrs Hiller )
Year 4 & 5 had a great day at King's School, Rochester. Head over to the latest news page, to see what they got up to...

Year 4, 5 and 6 enjoyed their first calligraphy lesson, where they learnt how to write the letters of the alphabet.

In science, year 5 and 6 have been learning all about light. We plunged the school into darkness to investigate, with torches, which objects reflected light well. We found out that smooth shiny objects reflected the light better than rough, dull objects.

As part of our celebration of World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March as well as dressing up as our favourite book character, we are inviting the children to take part in a reading challenge throughout March.
Reading Challenge
It's time to sharpen up those word building skills! The planet's biggest online literacy competition for schools, Word Mania, has begun!
Warm up rounds have started, with the main competition taking place on the 21st March to 25th March.
The children should all now have their login details.
